What this site keeps.
Budō Digital is operated by Alain Mokbel, a sole proprietor in Mexico City, under the name Mokbel Digital until a separate legal name exists.
The contact form sends your name, email, organization, and message to contact@mokbeldigital.com. It is checked for spam before it is sent. If Akismet is on, that service sees the name, email, and message. It is not stored in a database on this site.
Budō Digital Cōmmunity listings store a school name, general area, Google Maps link, and whether the listing is a public record, a free claim, or a paid Dōjō Manager profile. If you claim a listing, that row is tied to your account. If you ask to be introduced to a school, we also send your name, the email we use to reach you (your account email when you are signed in, or the email you enter on the form when you are not), the school you named, its Google Maps link, and your note to contact@mokbeldigital.com so we can write to that dojo on your behalf. Introduction notes are checked for spam the same way as the contact form and are not stored in a database on this site.
Budō Digital Cōmmunity event alerts store your email, city or area, optional disciplines, and whether you want open mats and/or tournaments. Email-only subscriptions stay pending until you confirm the link we send. Digests include matching public listings and an unsubscribe link. You can also manage alerts from your account when signed in.
If you create an account, your email and sign-in are handled by Supabase. Free student memberships and paid purchases are recorded against that account so the products you hold can be opened.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. This site does not store card numbers. A quoted onboarding or engineering fee is a separate Stripe charge, not part of a subscription price.
If you accept analytics cookies, Budō Digital uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and conversions. You can change or withdraw that choice on this page. Contact-form information is not sent to Analytics.
